Routine game | POPPOSITIONS

My first editions of ‘routine game’ (2013) will be travelling to Bruessels being part of POPPOSITIONS. Conceived as an experiment with the art fair format, POPPOSITIONS runs in parallel with Art Brussels. George Major dot com is leading a group of artists from the UK, Argentina, Germany, The Netherlands and Mexico in an informal collaborative programme of exhibition, publication and performance. The aim for his group of collaborators is to identify the relationship between POPPOSITIONS’ concern with site-specificity and questions around co-authorship.

18-21 April 2013 at Brass, Avenue Van Volxemlaan 364 | 1190 Brussels (Belgium)
George Major dot com (UK) and artist involved: Gwen Bajon / Alex Chalmers / COPY /
Lily Johnson / Annamaria Kardos / Tamarin Norwood / Charlie Godet Thomas / Louise Ashcroft
Fritha Jenkins / Liv Schulman / Iris Tenkink / George Major / Maru Roja and Goldsmiths MFA Art Writing.

Testing ground at Open Plan [Departure Foundation]

A three day collaborative project by six artists testing and responding to Open Plan. Productive days on site with rotating crits and discussions of how the site’s aesthetics’ and functional layout impacts each practice in developing new site-related work. In fact, having reconsidered plans opened up different paths of co-existent making and extending individual practices.

Participating artists: Birgitte Aasen, Margaret Duston, Robin Gardiner, AnnaMaria Kardos, Carol Mancke, Kathy Taylor.
